C-ASTRAL developed a 1.8Kw wind turbine in collaboration with engineer Ivan Trost. The turbine is now being tested on the Ajdovscina testing ground in extreme wind conditions, with gusts up to 150 km/h.
Further development work and partnerships in renewable energy integration and field testing in extreme conditions are planned in 2007.
The founders of the company have also been involved in the development and integration of hybrid energy systems for remote operations with powers up to 10kW, including photovoltaics, wind turbines, power management and emergency, liquid gas powered generators. These systems successfully operated remote field laboratories in Slovenia, Germany, Australia, Scotland, Italy and the USA.
