The BRAMOR ppX (GNSS PPK - Post Processing Kinematic) UAS is ideally suited for surveying and remote sensing applications that need a fast high precision set of results, down to sub-centimeter GSD level also in the absence of a grid of ground control points.

The system is comprised of an air and ground segment, consisting of a state of the art GNSS on board receiver and ground base station, the BRAMOR ppX blended wing body modular airframe with a lot of sensor options, a portable and ergonomic rugged ground control station and catapult launcher. The BRAMOR ppX UAS combines high precision autonomous operations with data acquisition, turbulent air penetration and stability with long endurance. Optional enhancements such as high precision IMU and tracking antennas are available.

The BRAMOR ppX is the ultimate high productivity tool for global surveying and remote sensing in very remote and less remote areas, with an industry leading endurance of 3,5 hours, an operational ceiling of 5000m AGL and capable of operating in winds of up to 60km/h. Unrivalled. The airframe is made of advanced composite materials (Kevlar/Carbon/Vectran) that provide a high level of survivability. A high visibility color scheme, strobe and NAV lights are optional. Embedded autonomous flight procedures include an array of fail-safe options based on man-rated standards. It is equipped with C-Astral high rate GNSS receiver and IMU precision data-logging electronics.

Basic Bramor ppX system package

The system consists of the air vehicle with a sensor of your choice, a foldable portable takeoff catapult and rugged ground control station. The whole system fits into two rugged transport cases or a single backpack. The system is flight ready in under five minutes and safely operated by single operator/pilot in command.

The compact MS-SQ sensor can be carried simultaneously with one of C-ASTRAL’s high resolution sensors and features four narrowband filters optimized for analyzing crop health and a 16 MP RGB imager for easy digital scouting. Its irradiance sensor and integrated GPS make it an accurate, compact and calibrated tool for precision agriculture.

NDVI - Normalized Difference Vegetation Index is an index for visualizing vegetation health. Areas with NDVI values greater than 0,5 are colored using a red/yellow/green color scale. The NDVI reveals variability in plant vigor and biomass, often times not visible in standard RGB color imagery.

NDRE - Normalized Difference Red Edge Index can be a valuable index when collecting data and monitoring stress /health over mature plants. The advanced vegetation indices like NDRE are more sensitive to changes in leaf chlorophyll content and provide information about plant nutrient status.

SENSORS

The camera has a 30 mm lens installed. Optionally a 19 mm lens can be ordered.

You cannot use the same camera because it has to be permanently modified by a specialist. In case you need such a camera it has to be ordered separately.

The ground coverage from 120 AGL is 94 m x 62.4 m.

The photos are downloaded directly from the SD Card connected into the computer.

Usually you would need to replace the system's propeller blades. During its lifetime the fuselage or wings might also need repair or replacement if they are used in a harsh environment.

The UAV can be equipped with color RGB, NIR, multi-spectral, hyper-spectral cameras or gas detection sensor.

The maximum payload weight for BRAMOR ppX is 500g.

FLIGHT PERFORMANCE

The cruise speed of the UAV is 58 km/h.

The strongest wind it can fly can reach up to 17 m/s.

Total weight of the system (incl. catapult launcher and GCS) is 30 kg.

The aircraft can be equipped with a locating beacon upon your request.

Flights can be executed up to 5000 m above sea level.

The aircraft can be optionally equipped with a locator beacon.

Replacements usually include propeller blades and batteries. During it's lifetime the fuselage or wings have to be replaced if the UAV has been used in a harsh environment.

Standard flight time at cruise speed for Bramor ppx is up to 3,5hours, depending on the wind conditions and flight altitude.

LAUNCH AND LANDING

The UAV lands with the parachute.

Users usually land inside a radius of 20 m from the GCS. With more experience, they get even more accurate.

The take-off is achieved with the catapult launcher (elastic or pneumatic).

FLIGHT PLANNING

With the GeoPilot flight planning software the user can create flight plans consisting of arbitrary waypoints or automatically create areas of arbitrary shapes or linear shapes like roads, power-lines, rivers, etc.
