Bramor UAS environmental protection capabilities to be showcased in Wales!

7-10 March 2016: QinetiQ will highlight the benefit of UAS applications in the areas of fisheries protection, flood risk management and coastal erosion monitoring to the Welsh Government.

BRAMOR gEO and BRAMOR C4EYE UAS shall be used to demonstrate two scenarios; one exploring the use of RPAS in fisheries protection, and the other in managing the threat to the Welsh coast from flooding and coastal erosion.

The initiative will be the first major showcase of Snowdonia Aerospace Centre (formerly Llanbedr Airfield) as part of the unique West Wales RPAS test and evaluation environment and associated segregated airspace.

QinetiQ is involved in the UK’s Autonomous Systems Technology Related Airborne Evaluation & Assessment (ASTRAEA) programme, which aims to establish the technology and regulations for UAVs to be regularly flown in national airspace.
